Bank of Baroda (BOB) — one of India’s leading and most trusted public sector banks — has officially released a recruitment notification for 2500 Local Bank Officer (LBO) vacancies under Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Bank of Baroda is recruiting 2500 Local Bank Officers (LBOs) under Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The application process opened on July 4, 2025, and the deadline has been extended to August 3, 2025. Applications can be submitted online through the bank’s official website. 

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old as of July 1, 2025, with age relaxations for reserved categories. A university degree in any discipline is required, including professional qualifications. Applicants need at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Proficiency in the local language of the applied state is mandatory. 

Selection process

The selection process includes an online test covering various subjects, a psychometric test, and a Group Discussion (GD) and/or Interview. There is also a Language Proficiency Test, document verification, and a medical examination. 

Application fees

The application fee is ₹850/- for General, EWS & OBC candidates and ₹175/- for SC, ST, PwBD, ESM & Women candidates (Inclusive of GST) + Payment Gateway Charges. 

Salary

The starting basic pay for an LBO is ₹48,480/- per month, with a potential to reach ₹85,920/-. Additional allowances are also provided.
