Western Railway (RRC WR) has announced a recruitment drive for 64 posts in Group C and Group D under the Sports Quota for the year 2025-26.

The recruitment is being conducted through open advertisement. 

Important dates

• Opening date for online application: July 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
• Closing date for online application: August 29, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

• Group C: 21 Posts
• Group D: 43 Posts
• Total: 64 Posts 

Eligibility criteria

• Age Limit: 18-25 years as of January 1, 2026. Candidates born between January 2, 2001 and January 1, 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Level 5/4: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Level 3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution. Alternatively, Matriculation with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship or ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT or Diploma from a recognized Institution.
  • Level 1: Passed 10th or its equivalent examination OR ITI OR Diploma OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
• Sports Achievement: Refer to the official notification for detailed requirements regarding sports achievements for each discipline and level. 

Application fees

• For all other candidates: ₹500/- (with a provision for refunding ₹400/- to those who appear in the trial).
• For SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability/Women/Minorities and Economically Backward Class: ₹250/- (with a provision for refunding the same amount to those who appear in the trial). 

Selection process

The selection process will be based on the following stages: 

• Trial (Game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observation) – 40 marks
• Assessment of recognized sports achievements – 50 marks
• Educational qualification – 10 marks

3. Click on the “Apply Online” link and register.
4. Fill in the application form with personal, educational, and sports achievement details.
5. Upload scanned copies of required documents, including photograph and signature.
6. Pay the application fee online.
7. Submit the application form and print a copy for future reference. 

Important notes

• Candidates are advised to carefully read the official notification for detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, application process, and selection procedure.
• There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD under the Sports Quota.
• Candidates must appear for trials to be eligible for further stages of recruitment.
• The final selection will be based on overall performance in trials and assessment of sports achievements.
