Eligibility criteria

Candidates must have a Graduation degree from a recognized university, with specific subject requirements possibly varying by post. Applicants must be Indian citizens. The age limit as of August 1, 2025, is a minimum of 21 years. The maximum age is 37 for General (Male), 40 for OBC/BC (Male & Female) and General (Female), and 42 for SC/ST (Male & Female). 

Selection process

The BSSC CGL 2025 selection process has three stages: a preliminary examination (if over 40,000 applicants, it will be an objective test to shortlist candidates), a mains examination for those who qualify the prelims, and document verification for candidates who pass the mains.
