• Exam dates: October 4–25, 2025.
• Result date: Expected on November 1, 2025. 

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must meet educational qualifications and age limits, which differ based on whether they are applying for Paper 1 (classes 9–10) or Paper 2 (classes 11–12). 

• Educational qualification: A relevant graduation or post-graduation degree and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree are generally required.
• Age limit: The maximum age for general category candidates is 37 for males and 40 for females, with relaxations for reserved categories. 

Application process

The entire application process is online and managed by the BSEB.

2. Register as a new candidate and fill out the online application form.
3. Upload the necessary documents, including scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
4. Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
5. Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for your records. 

Exam pattern

• Exam mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
• Papers:
  • Paper 1: For teachers of classes 9 and 10.
  • Paper 2: For teachers of classes 11 and 12.
• Total marks: 150 (150 objective-type questions).
• Duration: 2.5 hours.
• Marking scheme: One mark for each correct answer; there is no negative marking.
• Qualifying marks: A minimum qualifying percentage is required, which varies by category.
