IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 750 Vacancies

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has announced the recruitment of 750 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the financial year 2025-26. 

Important dates 

• Notification Release Date: August 8, 2025.
• Application Start Date: August 10, 2025.
• Last Date to Apply: August 20, 2025.
• Application Fee Payment Dates: August 10, 2025 to August 20, 2025.
• Online Examination (Tentative): August 24, 2025. 

Eligibility Criteria 

• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
• Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India.
• Graduation Result Declaration: Should be between April 1, 2021 and August 1, 2025 (inclusive) for candidates registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
• Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025): 20 – 28 years for General/EWS candidates (born between August 1, 1997 and August 1, 2005).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines. Candidates registered under NAPS should be less than 34 years on the cutoff date.
• Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for a specific state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in at least one local language of that state. 

Application Process 

1. Visit the official website: www.iob.in or www.bfsissc.com.
2. Navigate to the Careers or Recruitment section.
3. Click on the link for Engagement of Apprentices or related notification (dated August 8, 2025).
4. Click on “Apply Online” or the relevant application link.
5. Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, local language details, and other required information.
6. Upload necessary documents like photograph, signature, certificates, etc.
7. Pay the application fee online through Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. 

Application Fee 

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹944/- (including GST).
• Female/SC/ST: ₹708/- (including GST).
• PwBD: ₹472/- (including GST). 

Selection Process 

• Online Written Test: Objective test comprising of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.
• Test of Local Language: Assessment of proficiency in the local language of the applied state (qualifying nature), typically conducted during document verification.
• Personal Interaction (if any): As decided by the Bank.
