The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released a notification for the recruitment of 475 Apprentices across various disciplines in its Southern Region. This recruitment drive is being conducted under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973.

Vacancies

There are 475 apprentice positions available across various categories, including Trade Apprentice (such as Fitter, Electrician), Technician Apprentice (like Mechanical, Electrical), and Graduate Apprentice. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years old as of August 31, 2025, with age relaxation for reserved categories. Educational qualifications vary by apprenticeship type: Trade Apprentices require an ITI in a relevant trade, Technician Apprentices need a 3-year Diploma in engineering, and Graduate Apprentices need a full-time degree with a minimum percentage (varying by category). 

Application Process

Applications are submitted online through the official IOCL website. Candidates must first register on the NAPS or NATS portals before applying on the IOCL Pipelines portal. There is no application fee. 

Selection Process

Selection is based on a merit list derived from marks in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and a medical examination. 

Stipend

Apprentices receive a monthly stipend, which varies by role: Graduate Apprentices ₹9,000, Technician Apprentices ₹8,000, and Trade Apprentices ₹7,000–₹9,000. The apprenticeship generally lasts 12 months.
